London life drawing

I am hosting a new life-drawing/digital sculpture session in central London. The sessions will be drop in for friends, and friends of friends, initially as space is limited to around 15 people. The drop-in is on Thursdays 7-9:30 PM, Cost: £15.

It is a good chance to get out and feel like an artist again and socialise over drinks afterwards.

Poses

We will have a variety of poses, warming up with short 1 and 2 minute poses, then progressing to longer 10-20 minute poses. The session will finish with a long pose of roughly 1 1/2 hour. This is a chance for you to really study the figure and advance your drawing/sculpture to a good place. Occasionally there will be long poses that last between sessions so people can spend as much time as they need to finish a drawing or sculpture to a high level.

Materials

You will want to bring a sketchbook and pencil or other mark making instrument. I will try to bring newsprint and extra charcoal for you to use as needed (dontation required). Drawing boards will be provided, but not easels, so adjust your expectations accordingly.

Venue

The venue is part of the Dragon’s Hall community center and is located at:
1-3 Newton Street, WC2B 5EL (see below), just off of High Holborn (nearest tube Holborn, suprise). It is about a 15 minute walk from Soho so get out and get your exercise. When you get to the big metal door, buzz the Community Resource Space buzzer to be let in. Hope to see you there.
