Week 6: Hands, Feet, and Neck
Lesson six covers the critical information needed to realistically construct the hands and feet. The importance of bony landmarks and proportion are stressed as the majority of surface form in the hands and feet is established by the skeleton. The articulation of the joints is explained as well as the surface details of tendons and veins.
After the hands and feet, the lesson describes the muscular interconnections between the head and neck. Note: For a comprehensive treatment of facial anatomy, including expressions, construction of the face and features, please see the Portraiture & Facial Anatomy for Artists course.
