Welcome to the Bodies in Motion reference library. This is a small exhibition of the photographs from my 2009 Bodies in Motion photo shoot.
The goal of the shoot was to capture dynamic sculptural reference of figures in motion, inspired by Eadweard Muybridge. Each action was captured at 10 frames-per-second (fps) from three camera angles - giving an artist multiple points of reference for resolving the figure’s pose and balance. A sample of some of the sequences are provided below at reduced resolution (full resolution sample here).
The full image library (12 models and over 10,000 images) will be used as figure reference for subscribers to my online Anatomy for Artists course. Studios and individuals interested in acquiring the reference library for their own internal use can get in touch with me here for more samples.
