Here are images of a few of the critical plates from Dr. Paul Richer’s Nouvelle Anatomie Artistique du Corps Humain. vol. II - Morphologie La Femme. If you are not familiar with Dr. Richer’s work, he wrote the seminal volumes on artistic anatomy in the late 1800’s. They have become the standard by which all other artistic anatomy books are compared. However, only the first volume, on male anatomy, has been translated and is still in publication. The plates show here are taken from the original French volume, ca. 1890.
