More inspiration of the figure in motion. The agile Chase Armitage from Bodies in Motion V.
Here’s one of my favorites from the Bodies in Motion V shoot. There are still many shots left to develop, but BiM-V was all about martial arts. We had some eye-watering talent on the shoot – a Jujitsu grandmaster, a master of Hapkido, high-level kickboxers, a wushu artist and couple practitioners of exotic, less known martial arts.
I will be showing the new Bodies in Motion site for the first time in public at London’s Industry Workshops event on the 10-13th of September (soon!). There is going to be incredible art talent presenting at the workshop, so if this kind of thing interests you, sign up! I am presenting Saturday afternoon, hope to see you there.
No sooner is the Bodies in Motion III shoot finished, than Bodies in Motion IV marches into the calendar. In fact, we just finished a big weekend shoot with eleven talented artists, each with unique skills, power and grace on aerial apparatus. I have just started looking through the 15,000 images and there are going to be some gems.
All of the photography you see coming through the site lately is in preparation for the official launch of the Bodies in Motion Project website coming in September. The site will collect all the photos and motion sequences that I have shot over the last five years and make them available as a resource for artists, designers, and agencies looking for photography that showcases the amazing capabilities and forms of the human figure.
